Understandable Text May 23, 2009 A. Abbott (South Dakota) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
A lot of times a text book is too wordy for someone to read and understand. I'm taking my microbiology course online and it was very crucial that I actually know what the book was talking about. This has been a relatively easy (as text books go) book to understand.
Human perspective April 12, 2010 D. Johnson (Bend, OR, USA) Used this book for an intro micro class. I really enjoy the human perspective- about a third of the book is about organisms and the diseases they cause.
Just what I needed June 16, 2010 E. Hennesay I didn't realize some textbooks come in paperback. This was just like the hardback that costs about $280. The book was in great shape and even had the information to register on the website. And, with this textbook, you don't have to register online if your professor isn't using the book. But you can take advantage of the study materials for free.
good June 22, 2010 Josh (US) Not difficult to read, i was required to buy it, and it's a lot easier to find what your looking for than in most text books
good book June 26, 2010 Linh The book is not that hard to understand, it's written a way for people who are not major in medical field can understand. My professors are two authors of the book (student @ UW), the book & lecture together should be very easy to understand compare with other books that i have read. Plus, not everyone are going to microbiology field so there is no expectation that the book supposes to tell you everythng about microbiology. Plus, a good book is a book that everyone can understand.
